This tumbler showcases Shoyo Gama's beautifully refined teal glaze, developed through a patient process of trial and error.
The gentle thickness and soft matte texture bring a warm, earthy feel to the piece.
Each tumbler is carefully handcrafted in Hyogo Prefecture, Japan.

Origin

Tamba Ware

Tamba Ware is recognised as one of Japan’s Six Ancient Kilns, with origins dating back to the late Heian period (around 1185). Traditionally made for everyday use, Tamba pottery is known for its practical forms and earthy character. Many kilns continue the full handmade process - from preparing the clay to firing in anagama or noborigama wood-fired kilns. During firing, pine ash naturally settles and melts into the surface, creating the signature natural ash glaze (haiyū) that gives each piece its unique and expressive appearance.

All of our products are handcrafted/hand finished. Therefore there may be variations in colour, texture, shape and some imperfections. We truly believe these add character to each piece and what make them unique.

In the situation where the item you receive is faulty, you will be entitled to a refund or exchange. Please allow up to 5 business days for the refund to be processed.
