Discover the charm of this beautifully handcrafted small vase and dried flower posy set – a thoughtful gift for someone special, or a little treat for yourself. Packaged in a lovely box, it highlights both craftsmanship and care.

This palm-sized vase features Shoyo Gama’s soft yellow glaze, developed through a careful process of trial and error. You’ll notice fine crackle lines on the surface, known as "kannyu" - a natural characteristic of pottery and not a fault.

The dried flower posy will vary, as each flower differs in shape and size and is influenced by seasonal availability. We’ll create a posy using the flowers we have in store at the time of your purchase.

Tamba Ware

Tamba Ware is recognised as one of Japan’s Six Ancient Kilns, with origins dating back to the late Heian period (around 1185). Traditionally made for everyday use, Tamba pottery is known for its practical forms and earthy character. Many kilns continue the full handmade process - from preparing the clay to firing in anagama or noborigama wood-fired kilns. During firing, pine ash naturally settles and melts into the surface, creating the signature natural ash glaze (haiyū) that gives each piece its unique and expressive appearance.
