These bamboo chopsticks are made from parts that were originally unsuitable for chopstick material and would have been discarded, giving them new life and reducing waste. Simple yet incredibly easy to use, they are perfect for everyday use, as well as for guests or cooking.

Handcrafted by Yamachiku, in Kumamoto prefecture.
Their chopsticks are widely trusted among renowned chefs and restaurants in Japan.

Since 1963, Yamachiku has been crafting chopsticks from sustainably sourced bamboo in Fukuoka and Kumamoto prefectures. Despite the decline in bamboo chopstick production due to processing challenges and cheap imports, Yamachiku remains the only manufacturer in Japan to produce 100% in-house chopsticks from start to finish.

Care & Characteristics

Please avoid using a dishwasher.
For uncoated chopsticks, do not soak them. After hand washing, dry thoroughly in a well-ventilated area.
Store them in a place that avoids direct sunlight and is low in humidity.
