Made from lightweight, breathable kaya cotton, suitable for everyday storage and carrying.Light and flexible, it is suitable not only as a vegetable bag, but also as a simple eco bag or gift bag.

Kaya fabric is traditionally woven in Nara and becomes softer with use.

Crafted by Ban Inoue using traditional textile techniques from Nara.

Care & Characteristics

Each bag is washed after sewing, and the fabric is initially starched. The cotton net will soften and become more supple with washing and use. As a result, texture and size may vary slightly between items.

For first use, wash in water (cold or lukewarm) to remove the starch. We recommend using a laundry bag when washing. Do not tumble dry; hang to dry naturally.

Due to the nature of the fabric, gentle variations and soft wrinkles are part of the material’s character.

All of our products are handcrafted/hand finished. Therefore there may be variations in colour, texture, shape and some imperfections. We truly believe these add character to each piece and what make them unique.

In the situation where the item you receive is faulty, you will be entitled to a refund or exchange. Please allow up to 5 business days for the refund to be processed.
