“Ono Waterfall” is a landscape print by the celebrated Japanese artist Katsushika Hokusai, created in the early 1830s as part of his series A Tour of Waterfalls in Various Provinces.
The scene depicts a tall waterfall cascading down a steep cliff along the historic Kisokaidō road, one of the main routes connecting Edo (present-day Tokyo) and Kyoto during the Edo period. Small travellers at the base of the falls highlight the scale and power of the landscape.
Printed and framed in Australia, the artwork is presented in a natural timber frame that complements the traditional character of the piece.
The artwork is UV printed directly onto a smooth satin surface, allowing it to be displayed without glass. This finish reduces reflections and can be lightly dusted or wiped clean, making it an easy and practical piece to display on your wall.
